The real...Freedom of speech in India...is a myth.

The real problem is being overlooked in the name of regionlisation. The real problem is can the infrastructure of Mumbai cope with so much of influx of migrants. Does it have enough jobs, water, sanitation facilities. The fact is no.

UP and Bihar are amongst the largest states in India. Yet people are migrating out of it. Why? Is it because Mumbai is more attractive. In a sense if we go deep into it, how many major Industries do these two states boast of? Hardly any. How many job opportunities are there in these two states. Hardly any. Yet these two states boast of the highest number of IAS officers throughout India.

National level leaders instead of saying Mumbai is for everyone, no doubt it is...should also question why the people are migrating out of their own states.

Mumbai is one of the highest tax collecting cities in India. If enough job opportunities are created in other states, cities, the same tax can be collected by the respective states if they want instead of begging to the central government for funds every now and then.

The question is not of nationality, the question is of development, which unfortunately has got lost in the politics of regional infighting......Jayant R.
